Legally Blondes

Legally Blondes

Q: For those that are unfamiliar with the Legally Blondes concept, can you give us a quick summary of the movie?
Milly: Legally Blondes is the third Legally Blonde movie. It’s about Elle Woods’ British twin cousins, Izzy and Annie Woods, who we play, who move from England with their dad, and they go to a really posh prep school in California on a Scholarship. We don’t fit in because we don’t have much money like everyone else at the school, and we stick out in a bad way because we don’t dress like everybody else. And there’s this really mean girl called Tiffany who makes our lives miserable and she even frames us for something we didn’t do so we have to prove our innocence in the academic court! And throughout the film, we use the lawyer skills that we’ve inherited to get clothes and shoes for bargain prices!

Q: What was your first reaction when approached about making the film?
Becky: The first two movies are two of our favorite films so we were so thrilled to be asked to do the third one! Reese Witherspoon is one of our favorite actresses, so we were so excited that she was producing and presenting the movie.

Q: To what extent, if any, was Reece Witherspoon involved in influencing the direction of the movie?
Milly: From what we know, Reese was very involved from the audition process right through post-production!

Q: On screen, your characters get along quite well, aside from some “boy drama”. Do you get along well in real life?
Becky: Yes, we have very similar personalities, so we get along well! Most of the time! We love being identical twins! It's like having a built in best friend with you all the time. It's especially nice having a twin when you’re new at a school, like we’ve been several times, because you always have someone to sit next to at lunch and talk to on the first day. We do argue sometimes, though, over silly things!

Q: Do you enjoy making movies together, and do you anticipate continuing to do so? Or, would you prefer to find opportunities to work independent of each other?
Milly: Right now, we’re really enjoying working together. We’re filming our pilot for Disney Channel together, and if the audience likes Legally Blondes, then we’d love to do another one together. But, I’m sure in the future we’d like to do some separate projects too.

Q: Why should someone make a point to rent or buy Legally Blondes?
Becky: We think that Legally Blondes is a film that the whole family can watch together and find really funny and sweet! This movie’s actually geared towards a younger audience than the first two movies. If we weren’t in it or anything to do with it, we would go out and buy it ourselves! The main message in the movie is that you should never judge a book by its cover. Just because someone is different to you or doesn’t have much money, does not mean that you are better than them. It’s what kind of person you are that is way more important than how much money you have. You should not be ashamed of who you are. The other message in the movie is that girls can be fashionable and girly while at the same time still be responsible and get good grades.

Milly: There’s also some great behind-the-scenes featurettes on the DVD that show how the movie was made, the fashion in the movie, working with the sweet Chihuahuas, and a peek into what it’s like being twins! We really hope we don’t disappoint all the Legally Blonde fans!

Now here will be a better Legally Blondes Interview

Sindy:: Can you tell me a bit about Legally Blondes and the characters you play?

Milly: Legally Blondes is about Elle Woods’ British twin cousins, Izzy and Annie Woods, who we play, who move from England with their dad, and they go to a really posh prep school in California on a Scholarship. And throughout the film, we use the lawyer skills that we’ve inherited to get clothes and shoes for bargain prices!, and she’s very similar to Elle Woods in that she’s girly, tries hard in school, loves dogs, and fashion, but she’s quite shy and out of the two twins, she’s less confident.

Becky:: I play Isabelle Woods, or Izzy, and she’s also very like Elle in that she’s girly, fashionable, confident, loves dogs, and she’s always trying to help Annie be more confident and outgoing.

Sindy:: Was Reese Witherspoon involved in the movie? Did you get to meet her? Did she give any advice about working in Hollywood?

Becky:: Yes, Reese Witherspoon is producing and presenting the movie! Before we started filming we had lunch with her. We were not disappointed when we met her because she is so friendly and chatty! She seems like a really kind and caring person. We think she is an amazing actress, so to get to work with her is such as honor.

Milly::She even sent us cookies and a note to our trailer on the first day of filming, which made us feel a lot less nervous and was really encouraging!

Sindy:Your characters, Annie and Izzy, came to America from England. You guys did the same! When did you move from the UK and what are some of the cultural differences you find between the US and England?

Becky:: We’ve lived in Los Angeles for about 3 1/2 years. We love America! We love the weather in California and everyone’s been so friendly to us, but we do miss our family and friends in England, so we go back every summer when we can. California and England are actually very similar, so there aren’t really many cultural differences. We have school, homework, we go and see a movie at the weekend with our friends, and we go to the shopping mall in both places! We even have lots of the same stores and restaurants in England. One difference we’ve noticed is that people in England drink a lot more cups of tea!

Sindy:: I heard you guys got your big acting break in a really cool way. Can you tell me the story?

Milly:We had always loved acting, singing, and dancing, but we never pursued it because our mum always told us it was a hard business to get into and that there is a lot of competition. But when we went to a live taping of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody which is open to the public, we were discovered by chance, by the executive producer of the show. She heard that we were English and we were twins, and she asked us to audition for the show. So, we took acting lessons for several months and we auditioned to be on one episode, and they liked how we played the characters, so they put us in 7 episodes! And then we filmed Legally Blondes!

Sindy:: Do you have any funny stories about working on the set of Suite Life?

Milly:: Once on the set of The Suite Life, I really needed to sneeze but I didn't want to make any noise as they were filming. I started making really strange faces and moving my head around to stop the sneeze and I felt so embarrassed as I saw some cast and crew members looking at me wondering why I was behaving so strangely!

Becky:: During the breaks, we would hang out with other guest stars in Dylan and Cole's dressing rooms and have lunch and play games. One time we had an arm wrestling competition! It was a lot of fun and even though we didn't win against the boys, I think everyone was surprised at how strong our arms were!!

Sindy:: I noticed the url of your YouTube account is millyandbeckymusic—does this mean you guys are going to be recording an album soon?

Milly:: Right now, we’re recording demos and working with Andre Recke, who has worked with Hilary Duff since Lizzie Mcguire. We recorded a song called “Lucky Girl” for Legally Blondes. It plays at the end of the movie. We had a great time recording the song and we’ve always loved singing and dancing, so we hope to record an album in the future! We’re taking lots of lessons!

Sindy:: You guys have your own Stardolls! Can you tell me a bit about that?

Becky:: Stardoll.com is a virtual celebrity dress-up site with almost 30 million members from around the world! Milly and I have dolls on the site that you can dress up and we have decorated our own suites. We love shopping in the virtual shopping mall, dressing up celebrities, and we’ve made a Legally Blondes Club on there. We also reply to fans on Stardoll, who leave such nice comments in our guestbook!

Sindy:: What are some common misconceptions about being a twin? What’s it like being twins in Hollywood? Would either of you like to do solo work or is it just too fun working with your sister?

Milly:: A common misconception about twins is that all twins can sometimes think and feel what the other is thinking and feeling, but we’ve never experienced that! It would be cool if we did though! Yes, we love being identical twins! It's like having a built in best friend with you all the time. We don’t just look the same, we have very similar personalities, so we get along well! Most of the time! Also, one downside to being a twin is that some people have been mean to us because we’re twins. They say twins creep them out and identical twins make them feel uncomfortable, almost like clones! Fortunately, when they get to know us, they normally stop feeling uncomfortable! LOL

Becky:: Right now, we’re really enjoying working together. We’re filming our pilot for Disney Channel together, and if the audience likes Legally Blondes, then we’d love to do another one together. But, I’m sure in the future we’d like to do some separate projects too.

Sindy:: How would you describe your style? Do you guys have different taste in clothes? What about guys? Have you ever liked the same guy?!

Milly:: We love bright, girly, and sporty clothes! We like wearing things that are fashionable, but if something is the height of fashion, but we don’t feel comfortable in it or we think it doesn’t look nice on us, then we won’t buy it. I feel most comfortable in jeans and boots and my favorite color to wear is pink!

Becky:: I love accessories, especially necklaces and bags! I really like wearing skirts and leggings. We haven’t actually started dating yet, but when we do we’re going to follow the rule, that whoever sees the cute guy first has priority!

Sindy:: Who would you love to work with? Are you inspired by Mary-Kate and Ashley?

Milly:: Heidi Klum is one of our role models because she’s a really hard working person, she’s not afraid to laugh at herself, she’s very fashionable and she seems like a great mom to her children. We’d love to work with her one day! We would also love to work with Johnny Depp although I don’t think we’ll ever get the chance to! He’s such a great actor because he’s really good at serious roles, but he can also play funny characters like Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean. We’d also love to work with Zac Efron!

Becky:: Yes, we grew up watching the Mary-Kate and Ashley videos with our sisters and friends! We watched them over and over again. We think they’re a great example of actors who have always worked hard since a young age.

Sindy:: What are you working on next?

Milly:: We are going to film a pilot for Disney Channel this summer, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that it will be picked up and made into a series because that would be like a dream come true!

Sindy:: Good luck! Thanks for chatting with me, girls!

Milly & Becky:: Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to share our answers with your readers! Best wishes!

Hoped you guys liked the interview!!!
